Jenny Chen

Jenny Chen is a Senior Advisor in Trading Compliance at TransAlta Corporation. They previously held roles as a Senior Market Design Specialist at the Alberta Electric System Operator from 2012 to 2016, and as a Senior Analyst at the Market Surveillance Administrator from 2006 to 2012, where they analyzed the performance of Alberta power markets. Jenny contributed to market sustainability and design during a brief tenure as Advisor at the Alberta Electric System Operator in 2016. Their early career included positions as a Market Analyst for TransAlta and a Capacity Planning Analyst at Canadian International Airline. Currently, Jenny is pursuing an MBA in Finance at The University of British Columbia and an MA in Economics at Simon Fraser University.
