Mitchell Lavender is a cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in risk management and advisory roles. Currently serving as the Manager of Cybersecurity & Risk Management at TransAlta since December 2021, Mitchell also holds the position of Director of Cybersecurity Advisory at Boosted Security. Previous roles include Manager of Cyber Security Services at MNP, where responsibilities encompassed threat and risk assessments, IT security auditing, and incident response. A Cyber Risk and Security Advisor at Edmonton Police Service for five years, Mitchell also has experience as a Systems Analyst and AVS & Security Analyst in various organizations. Mitchell holds a Diploma in Digital Media and Information Technology from NAIT and is certified as a CISSP, CISM, and CDPSE.
