Rick Hegan

Rick Hegan is a seasoned professional in human resources and labour relations with over a decade of experience in various roles. Starting as a Human Resources Analyst at the National Energy Board, Rick later contributed to The City of Calgary and Suncor Energy in several capacities, including Human Resources Business Partner and Labour & Employee Relations Advisor. Rick served as Manager of Human Resources and Labour Relations Specialist at Heartland Generation before taking on the role of Manager, Labour Relations at TransAlta in April 2025. Rick holds two degrees from The University of Lethbridge: a Bachelor of Commerce in Labour Relations and Human Resources, and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and Services.
