Sid J.

Sid J. has a diverse work experience across multiple companies and industries. Sid started their career as a Customer Service Representative at Commonwealth Bank in 2010. Sid then worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern at various companies from 2011 to 2014.

In 2011, Sid joined The University of Western Australia as an Academic Tutor and later became a Lecturer in 2015. Following their experience in academia, Sid worked at Deloitte as a Consultant from 2015 to 2017. In this role, they supported various clients in restructuring, cost reduction, and compliance functions.

From 2017 to 2021, Sid worked at UGL in various roles including Lead Electrical Engineer, Project Engineer, Corporate Development & Strategy, and Bid Manager. Sid led projects related to M&A integration, post-acquisition integration, and strategy development. Sid also originated greenfield and brownfield opportunities in renewables and utility markets and led M&A due diligence.

In 2021, Sid joined Clough as a Senior Project Engineer, where they supported M&A due diligence and led small projects for Newcrest and BHP Nickelwest. Sid later became a Lead Project Engineer.

Currently, Sid is working as a Project Engineer (Project Lead) at TransAlta since 2023.

Sid J. completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) Honors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Corporate Finance and Investment Finance from The University of Western Australia between 2009 and 2014. Sid also participated in an exchange program at Harvard University. In addition to their academic qualifications, Sid has obtained certifications in First Aid and Construction Safety.
