Tony Shutt

Tony Shutt has extensive experience in the energy industry. Tony started their career at TransAlta, where they held various roles such as Energy Market Analyst and Supervisor of Portfolio Hedging & Trading Analytics. Tony also worked at Capital Power Corporation as an Energy Trader and Manager of Strategic Portfolio Analytics. Additionally, they worked at TransCanada as a Commercial Management Specialist and served as an Independent Consultant at Intellego Analytics. Currently, they are working as the Manager of Market Analysis & Lead Economist at TransAlta, where they lead long-term market modeling and provides strategic advice to senior management.

Tony Shutt received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (Hon) from the University of Calgary in 2001. Tony further pursued their education at Wilfrid Laurier University and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Economics, completing their studies in 2003.
