Todd Dutton

Todd Dutton has served as President of TransAtlantic Petroleum since May 2014. His primary responsibilities are to guide TransAtlantic Petroleum’s strategy and lead its business development efforts.

Mr. Dutton has been in the oil and natural gas industry since 1977, focusing on exploration, acquisitions, prospect development, and property evaluation in various positions including Landman, Land Manager, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and President. He has worked the Mid-Continent and Texas regions, with emphasis on exploration land activities, exploration economics, prospect development, and producing property evaluation. Mr. Dutton has also served as President of Longfellow Energy, a Dallas, Texas-based independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company owned by TransAtlantic Petroleum’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, N. Malone Mitchell 3rd and his family, since January 2007. His primary responsibility for Longfellow Energy is to originate, organize, and develop oil and gas projects. Prior to joining TransAtlantic Petroleum and Longfellow Energy, Mr. Dutton served as Chief Operating Officer for Riata Energy, Inc. from 2005 to 2006. His former experience includes various supervisory and management roles at Texas Pacific Oil Company, Coquina Oil Corporation, and BEREXCO INC.

Mr. Dutton holds a B.B.A. degree in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Oklahoma. He has previously received his certification as a Certified Professional Landman by the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL).
