Peter Smit

Peter Smit has extensive experience in aviation, currently serving as Captain TRI/TRE A321neo and Vice President of Flight Operations at Transavia since February 1990. Smit holds significant responsibilities as the nominated person for flight operations AOC and accountable manager for ATO and MPL programs. Smit has also served as an Accountable Manager for Air OPS and held captain and first officer positions on the Boeing 737. Additionally, Smit has experience as an A320 Guest Pilot at Avion Express and an A330 Guest Pilot at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. From 2007 to 2016, Smit was the managing director owner of MCRS, providing comprehensive information solutions, and served similarly at Cuperi BV from 2005 to 2009, focusing on consulting and financial management. An interim general manager for the Central Europe Group from June 2007 to August 2008, Smit has contributed to various industry sectors. Education includes an ATPL/CPL/IR degree from NLS and a VWO degree from Ommelander College.
