Rob Akkermans is currently serving as an Ambassadeur at UAP.nl since October 2024. With a long-standing career at Transavia starting in July 1989, Rob has held the position of Captain and has also been a Flight Instructor for the Transavia airline pilot program since January 2020. Additionally, Rob is a Type Rated Instructor for the B737 at Wings Aviation, where roles include Director. In leadership capacities, Rob has been a Boardmember at the Foundation Future for Kids since October 2000 and served as a Boardmember at Luchtvaart zonder Grenzen from August 1998 to May 2000. Previous instructional roles include serving at the Martinair Flight Academy / KLM Flight Academy from May 1988 to January 2020.
