Christopher Hwang

Christopher Hwang has over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. From 1992 to 2010, they held various roles at Genzyme Corporation, including Senior Director of Commercial Process Development. In 2010, they joined Sanofi as the Senior Director of Late Stage Process Development. Christopher went on to become the Program Lead for Integrated Continuous Biomanufacturing and later the Senior Director of Commercial Cell Culture Development. In 2016, Hwang joined Hangzhou Just Biotherapeutics as the EVP of Process & Product Development Bionovel. Currently, they are the Chief Technology Officer at Transcenta, a role they have held since 2019.

Christopher Hwang completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1981 to 1985. Christopher further pursued higher education at MIT and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemical Engineering, completing their studies from 1985 to 1992.
