Li Xu

Li Xu has a diverse work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Li is currently serving as a Strategic Advisor to the CEO at Transcenta, a role they have held since February 2021. Prior to this, Li Xu was the Acting Chief Medical Officer at Transcenta from July 2019 to February 2021.

Before joining Transcenta, Li Xu worked as a Venture Partner at Lilly Asia Ventures from 2017 onwards. In 2016, they founded Xexus A Global Biopharma Clinical Development Consulting, LLC. Li also worked as the Chief Medical Officer at ACEA Biosciences from October 2016 to June 2019.

Li Xu has held leadership positions in other notable companies as well. Li was the Vice President at Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine Co., Ltd. from October 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they worked at Pfizer as the Vice President of Strategic Planning at Oncology Business Unit from April 2009 to May 2013.

Li'scareer started at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where they worked as a Faculty Member from 1994 to 1998. Li later joined PRA International as a Medical Director from 1999 to 2004. Li Xu also worked at Immunomedics as a Senior Director from 2004 to 2006 and at Merck as a Director from 2006 to 2009.

Li Xu completed a Doctor of Medicine - MD degree at Shandong Medical College in Jinan from 1977 to 1982. Following that, from 1988 to 1991, Li Xu pursued a Master of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D) degree, specializing in head and neck cancer, at the University of Washington. Later, Li Xu obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Global Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University, attending from 2002 to 2004.
