David Dawson

David Dawson has a diverse background in treasury and finance, with their most recent role being Treasury Product Lead at TransferMate Global Payments since November 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Global Treasury Manager at Megaport from July 2020 to November 2021, where they played a key role in various projects and decision-making processes related to treasury and banking matters. Before joining Megaport, David was the Associate Director Treasury at Takeda from 2017 to 2020, overseeing the transition of the Treasury Shared Service Team and the centralization of global treasury operations. David also worked at Smurfit Kappa, where they held multiple roles including Finance & Treasury Project Manager and SAP Business Project Manager. David started their career at BDO Simpson Xavier as an Audit Senior and later joined RSM Robson Rhodes as an Audit Trainee, Audit Senior, and Corporate Finance professional.

David Dawson has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOMM) degree from University College Dublin, which they obtained from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, they are a Fellow Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Ireland, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. David has also obtained various certifications in fields such as Lean Six Sigma, corporate treasury, international financial reporting standards, counselling and psychotherapy, and Power BI essential training.
