Mark Coppel

Mark Coppel is a Governance Consultant at the Confederation of School Trusts and the National Governance Association, specializing in training and consultancy for school governance since 2015. With a background in education dating back to 2006, Mark has facilitated over 50 external governance reviews across various educational phases. They have served as a trustee and governor in multiple organizations, including a 27-school MAT and a NHS hospital trust, while also holding leadership roles in several school transition boards. Mark's earlier career included roles as an Education Consultant and a Managing Director, along with teaching at the University of Sheffield. They earned a Master of Arts in Industrial Technology Management from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Technology and Management Science from the University of Bradford.
