Paul Laurance is a seasoned software engineer and architect with extensive experience in the energy and automation sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Transgrid since October 2022, Paul has previously held senior roles at GE - Renewable Energy - Grid Solutions, including Senior Solution Architect and Senior System Engineer, and at GE Digital as Commercial Operations Manager. With a strong foundation in systems engineering gained from positions at Alstom Grid Australia, AREVA T&D, and ALSTOM T&D, Paul also has a background in design engineering from ALSTOM ESCA Inc and Cegelec Projects Ltd. Paul began a professional career in 1984 at Cegelec Projects Ltd as a Design Engineer after earning a B.Sc in Physics from The University of Manchester.
