Stephen McSweeney

Stephen McSweeney serves as the Executive General Manager of People and Culture at Transgrid, where responsibilities include strategic workforce planning, employee relations, and governance. Prior to Transgrid, Stephen held various leadership roles at AGL Energy, including Head of People and Culture, where leadership of the corporate demerger and integration of acquisitions was key, along with designing talent management processes and corporate operating models. Stephen's earlier experience includes roles in executive search and recruitment, with significant positions at Cadden Crowe Executive Search, Hudson, ISS Facility Services UK, and Accor Pacific. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management, Communications, and Public Relations from Bond University and has completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
