Stuart Barber

Stuart Barber has over two decades of experience in the energy and technology sectors, currently serving as the Manager of the Future Control Centre at Transgrid since July 2001, where Stuart leads the transformation for a decarbonised power system. Their extensive expertise includes roles such as IT Domain Manager and SCADA Program Director, focusing on IT services, project management, and system replacements. Previous positions at Transgrid include Acting Chief Information Officer and ICT Operations Manager. Prior to Transgrid, Stuart worked as an Electrical Engineer at Norman Disney & Young, managing projects and design engineering. Stuart holds a Master’s degree in Business & Technology from UNSW and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Honors from Western Sydney University.
