Upuli Jayatunga is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in power systems analysis and modeling. Currently serving as the System Analysis and Modelling Team Lead and Principal Engineer at Transgrid since January 2023, Upuli also held the title of Senior Engineer at the same company. Prior experience includes working as a Power System Engineer at PSC - Power Systems Consultants from January 2021 to January 2023, and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa from July 2014 to December 2022, following a role as Lecturer at the same institution from August 2005 to March 2010. Upuli began the career as an Electrical Engineer at Lanka Transformers Pvt Ltd from May 2003 to July 2005. Upuli holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wollongong, completed from March 2010 to July 2014.
