John Stokes

John Stokes is a co-founder and managing partner at Real Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital fund. They have served as board chair at OSMO since 2010 and hold board or observer roles at Transit (since 2014), Breather (since 2013), dcbel (since 2018), Wrk (since 2020), and MindBridge (since 2021). They previously co-founded Piermont Ventures and served as President & CEO from 2000 to 2007, co-founded Forte Communications (Co-Founder & VP Marketing) from 1995 to 1998, and founded Fremantlemedia Japan / Vogue Planet (2004–2005). Earlier in their career, they held roles such as Chief Operating Officer at Livedoor (1999–2000) and Vice President – Wireless Handsets at Bellsouth NZ (1993–1996).
