Jonas Mack

Jonas Mack is a Senior Deep Learning Scientist (Speech) at Translated since October 2021, specializing in the development of neural Text-to-Speech systems and language identification systems. Prior experience includes roles as an Applied Machine Learning Researcher (NLP) at Translated, where Jonas developed a Korean neural network transliteration engine and an end-to-end automatic speech recognition system. At Cognite AS, Jonas served as a Data Engineer & Solutions Architect, designing internal tools and APIs for big data tasks. Previous positions include Data Scientist at Westphalia DataLab GmbH, where a predictive maintenance method was developed, and Risk Management Consultant at KPMG, focusing on credit default risk models. Jonas began research experience as a Student Assistant at the Institute of Econometrics and Statistics, University of Cologne. Jonas holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Uppsala University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Cologne.
