James Bell

James Bell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. James started their career at The Grocery People as an Assistant Buyer in 2000. James then moved on to Intertan Canada Ltd., where they rapidly progressed from Sales Associate to Senior Buyer, launching new businesses and products along the way. In 2004, James joined Best Buy Canada as a Senior Manager in eCommerce. After eight years, they entered the entrepreneurial space, founding and operating Solid State Inspections Inc., a successful startup inspection business. In 2017, they took on the role of Purchasing and Marketing Manager at Summit Tools while also working as an Instructor at Ashton College. Most recently, James worked at TransLink, initially as a Manager Commercial Programs and later as a Senior Manager Commercial Licensing. Their responsibilities at TransLink included developing and managing revenue-generating programs, negotiating contracts, and handling multifaceted partnerships. James is known for their entrepreneurial mindset and adaptability across different disciplines.

James Bell has a varied educational background. James completed a Leadership Program Certificate in Leading Leaders at UBC Sauder School of Business, and earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University. James also obtained a Diploma of Business with a focus on Finance from NAIT. Additionally, James completed a Commercial Building Inspection Course at CDW Engineering and a Home Inspection Training Program at Carson Dunlop. James further acquired knowledge in Private Pilot Ground School through Centennial Flight Center. James has also obtained certifications as a Licensed Inspector from Consumer Protection BC and as a Retired Accredited Home Inspector (R-AHI) from the Home Inspector Association (BC).
