Marisa Espinosa currently serves as the Director of Major Studies at TransLink, a position held since May 2021. Previously, Marisa held various leadership roles at the City of Vancouver from September 2016 to April 2021, including Director of Scenario Planning for the Department of Planning, Urban Design and Sustainability, and Deputy Planning Chief for Community Resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Marisa also led the Green Operations division, overseeing a workforce of over 200 employees and driving sustainability initiatives within one of North America's largest municipal fleets. Prior to that, Marisa contributed to transportation planning as Senior Manager for Long-range Transportation Planning in San Francisco and engaged in major investment planning and strategic roles at TransLink. Marisa's career began at the Public Allies Silicon Valley and includes a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from UCLA and a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Stanford University.
