Michael Buda is an experienced public policy leader currently serving as the Executive Director of the Mayors' Council Secretariat at TransLink since August 2014, where Michael collaborates with 23 local elected governments in Metro Vancouver to enhance the regional transportation system. Prior experience includes a decade with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities from 2004 to 2014 in various roles, including Director of Policy & Research, where Michael positioned the organization as a national authority on key municipal issues. His earlier career features roles such as Corporate Planning Officer at the District of Saanich and Program Development Coordinator at the Ontario Association of Youth Employment Centres, among others. Michael Buda holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from The University of British Columbia.
