Romain Thomyre

Romain Thomyre, PMP, currently serves as a Project Manager for Railroad Extension Integration at TransLink, focusing on the Surrey Langley SkyTrain extension project since October 2023. Prior to this role, Romain held the position of Project Manager and Project Designer at Impact Climbing Inc., where responsibilities included leading the development of artificial climbing walls across Canada and the USA from design to installation. Romain's experience also includes time at Alstom as a Project Manager for significant projects, including the Toronto Transit Commission subway line upgrade and the Waterloo LRT re-signaling project, as well as managing quality and safety aspects of major railway projects. Earlier roles included internships at POMA and Institutos Lactec, where Romain contributed to design and research projects related to railway and wind turbine technologies. Romain holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from INSA Lyon and Universidade Federal do Paraná, and a Bachelor's degree from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
