Tianyi Chen

Tianyi Chen, CPA, CA has a diverse work experience. They started their career as an Accounting and Finance Clerk at BC Lung Association in 2006, where they prepared investment portfolio tracking spreadsheets and monthly bank reconciliations. In 2010, they joined Manning Elliott Accountants & Business Advisors as a Staff Accountant in the Public Company Group. There, they worked on audits and reviews of annual and quarterly consolidated financial statements for public companies in Canada and China. They also assisted in completing IPOs. Chen then progressed to the role of Senior Accountant in both the Private and Public Company Groups, where they led audits and reviews, performed and supervised compilations, and prepared tax returns. From 2015 to 2017, Chen worked as a Manager at the same company, managing assurance and compilation engagements and assisting in tax planning for corporations. Finally, Chen joined TransLink in 2017 as an Accounting Manager and later became the Director of Corporate Finance in 2019.

Tianyi Chen, CPA, CA completed a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Marketing at The University of British Columbia in 2008. In 2008, they also obtained a Diploma in Accounting from the same institution. From 2010 to 2013, Tianyi Chen pursued a Chartered Accountant Designation at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. In 2013, they obtained the Chartered Accountant certification from the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.
