Alex Topalov is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and product management across various prominent companies. Currently serving as CTO at Translucent since July 2024, Alex previously held the position of Head of Product Engineering at Ramp, where focus was on scaling core products to support rapid growth. As Director of Engineering for Shopify's Shipping division, Alex expanded a team from fifty to one hundred fifty engineers and led significant product initiatives. Earlier roles include VP of Technology at jClub, Director of Engineering at Choxi.com Inc., and Technical Lead positions at Stack Builders and Archer Software, showcasing a consistent track record in technical leadership and team development. Alex's expertise spans a diverse tech stack, including Ruby, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL, supported by a solid educational background in Computer Science from NTUU "KPI".
