Michael Wood has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Michael is currently the Founder and CEO of Translucent, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Non-Executive Director at Cable Tech starting in 2020. From 2010 to 2021, Michael held various roles at Receipt Bank, including Non-Executive Director and Co-Founder. Michael played a key role in building Receipt Bank into one of the fastest-growing companies in the UK and Europe, with over 1 million users. Before that, they were the Director and Founder of Tweed London from 2005 to 2013. In 2002, they co-founded Cocojambo and served until 2005. Michael began their career as a Strategy Consultant at Rubus in 2000 and then worked as a Business Analyst at Datamonitor from 1998 to 2000.
Michael Wood earned a BSc Hons degree in Zoology from the University of Aberdeen, where they studied from 1994 to 1998.
