Christopher Peterson

Christopher Peterson has extensive work experience in trade compliance and customs. Christopher started their career in 1999 as a Supervisor at FedEx Trade Networks. Christopher then worked at Cargill as a Customs Advisor for the Food Ingredient and Bio-Industrial Enterprise from 2017 to 2023. Christopher is currently employed at Shell as a Trade Compliance Manager. Christopher also has experience as an Attorney at Chris Peterson, PA. Additionally, they served as the VP of Customs & Compliance at TRANSMODAL CORPORATION.

Christopher Peterson earned a JD and LLM in Law from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a BS degree in Political Science, History, Economics, and Asian Studies from Florida State University, from 1992 to 1996. Christopher is also licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey and the State of Illinois, and is a Licensed Customs Broker from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, obtained in 2011 and 2010 respectively.
