Francois Meyer

Francois Meyer is a seasoned Transportation Planning Professional with over 28 years of experience in railways and a comprehensive background in all freight transportation sectors. They held various roles at Transnet SOC Ltd, culminating in the position of General Manager for Capital Planning and Advisory Services, where they led capacity planning and provided strategic advisory for rail, port, and pipeline projects. Francois began their career in maintenance depots and progressed through various engineering and planning functions, including freight demand forecasting and infrastructure management. They earned a B.Eng in Civil Engineering from Stellenbosch University and an M.Eng in Management from the University of Pretoria.
