Jayan Konar

Jayan Konar has extensive experience in business improvement and risk management, currently serving as Principal Consultant for Business Improvement at Transnet SOC Ltd since November 2008, following roles as Senior Business Demand Planning Manager and Senior Risk Manager. Prior to Transnet, Jayan worked at Ernst and Young as a Senior Manager in Business Advisory Services, focusing on internal audit for Transnet's Business Improvement Area. Jayan's earlier career includes positions as Regional Business Improvement Manager and Process Engineer at BHP Billiton from 1995 to June 2007. Jayan holds a Master of Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School, a Certificate in Risk Management from the International Institute of Risk Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Education includes completion of matric at Apollo Secondary in Durban, South Africa.
