Nico du Plessis

Nico Du Plessis has extensive experience in security management, currently serving as the Chief Security Officer at Transnet Port Terminals since January 2007. In this role, Nico is tasked with maintaining the ISPS certification for 19 port facilities, implementing strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure security compliance as per the Department of Transport's regulations. Previously, from September 1995 to December 2006, Nico held the position of Assistant Director for Seaports at the South African Police Service, focusing on the policing of Seaports of Entry. Nico holds a Diploma in Police Administration from Technicon of RSA, earned between 1986 and 1990.
