Patrick Mphuthi

Patrick Mphuthi has an extensive career in safety management, currently serving as the Head of Governance and Assurance at Transnet SOC Ltd since February 2008, where responsibilities include ensuring the validity of the Railway Safety Permit and engaging with regulatory bodies. Prior experience includes a role as Safety Manager for the Klipspruit Project at BHP Billiton, overseeing health and safety during the plant's construction, and serving as Manager of HSEC at BHP Billiton from 1989 to 2008. Patrick Mphuthi holds a Diploma in Safety Management and a BTech in Safety Management from the University of South Africa, alongside an LLB from the same institution, and an Associate in Management certificate from UCT.
