Andrew Plessner

Andrew Plessner is an experienced marine engineer with a robust background in mechanical operations and maintenance within the maritime industry. Currently serving as a 1st Assistant Engineer at Transocean since January 2022, Andrew has previously held roles as Maintenance Supervisor at Cintas and Mechanical Technician at Seadrill, where responsibilities included troubleshooting drilling operations, mentoring assistant engineers, and overseeing preventive maintenance on critical machinery. Andrew's experience encompasses significant vessel overhauls, management of engine room equipment, and using IBM Maximo and Siemens automation software for maintenance tracking and plant control. Educated at Maine Maritime Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Technology and a Master of Science in International Logistics Management from Loeb-Sullivan School, Andrew has developed a strong skill set that includes supervision of technical departments and enhancement of mechanical knowledge through various assignments in challenging environments, including offshore operations.
