Jim Saunders

Jim Saunders is a seasoned professional in the maritime and offshore engineering industry, currently serving as the Senior Maintenance Supervisor at Transocean since August 2005. Notably, Jim has successfully led three new builds to operational readiness and is actively involved in transitioning operations from overseas to the Gulf of Mexico. Prior to Transocean, Jim held the position of Chief Engineer at Global Santa Fe from 2005 to 2009, where efforts included recovering the Development Driller 1 following Hurricane Katrina and collaborating with BHPB to develop fields in the Gulf of Mexico. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Technology from Maine Maritime Academy and an Associate's degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Maine.
