Kees van Pelt

Vice President, Technical Support at Transocean

Kees van Pelt has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. kees started their career as a player for DSR-C from 1990 to 1996. kees then worked as a rig engineer at Schlumberger from 1997 to 2001. Following that, they joined Transocean as an asset operation manager for deepwater from 2007 to 2010. kees was then promoted to operations manager projects Aberdeen, where they were responsible for capital projects of drilling rigs in Africa and Norway from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2016, they served as the director of maintenance at Transocean, implementing a new maintenance strategy approved by the classification society. kees then took on the role of director of technical support services from 2016 to 2016. kees further served as the director of new build and upgrade and repair from 2017 to 2018. Kees is currently working as the operations director for Africa and the United Kingdom at Transocean since March 2019.

Kees van Pelt has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology, which they obtained from 1990 to 1996. Prior to that, they attended melanchthon from 1984 to 1989. Additionally, they attended leersouk from 1982 to 1984 and Dutch school Mbeya from 1978 to 1980.
