Kris Ritchie is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in subsea and aircraft engineering. Currently serving as an Assistant Subsea Engineer at Transocean since April 2013, Kris has played a key role in various rig operations across the North Sea, focusing on equipment maintenance and pressure testing. Prior to this, Kris worked as a Geophysical Survey Engineer at Gardline Geosciences Limited, managing underwater equipment deployment and fault resolution. Kris's extensive experience also includes a tenure in the Royal Air Force as both a Junior Manager and Production Engineer, where maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems was a primary responsibility. Additionally, Kris began a career in engineering with roles as an Aircraft Engineer and a Fisherman, demonstrating a strong foundation in mechanical and maintenance skills. Educational qualifications include BTEC certifications in Aeronautical Engineering from RAF Cosford and City and Guilds.
