Matthew Rowe

Matthew Rowe is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as a Senior Dynamic Positioning Officer (DPO) at Transocean since February 2023. Rowe has a robust background in dynamic positioning, having worked as a Senior DPO for Pacific Drilling from February 2011 to December 2022, where responsibilities included maintenance on drill ships in Las Palmas. Prior roles include serving as a DPO for Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc., where duties encompassed managing drilling operations and maintenance on the DP system, and as a DPO/Mate at Tidewater Marine LLC, overseeing crew activities and vessel safety. Rowe began the maritime career with an internship at Poten & Partners Inc. after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Operations and Technology from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
