Neil Painter

Neil Painter currently serves as a 2nd Assistant Engineer at Transocean, a position held since July 2021, and previously held the role of 3rd Assistant Engineer. Concurrently, Neil is a Strategic Sealift Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve since March 2020. Neil's prior experience includes working as a Second and Third Assistant Engineer at Otto Candies, LLC from June 2019 to July 2021, and as an Engineering Intern at Philly Shipyard, Inc. in April 2018. Neil gained practical experience as an Engine Cadet aboard several vessels, including the SS Gopher State, M/V Maersk Seletar, and USNS Supply. Neil obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering and Shipyard Management from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 2019.
