Owen King is an accomplished mechanical supervisor with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving at Transocean since June 2019. Previously, Owen held the role of chief mechanic at Ocean Rig from October 2013 to June 2019, overseeing a team responsible for the maintenance of advanced drilling equipment on ultra-deep water drillships. Earlier career experiences include positions as a hydraulic technician and mechanical service engineer for National Oilwell Varco, as well as aircraft mechanical engineer supervisor and propulsion technician in the Royal Air Force, where Owen developed expertise in complex mechanical systems. Owen holds a BTEC degree in engineering from the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering at RAF Cosford.
