Richard Smith is currently serving as a Master/OIM at Transocean Offshore Inc, where they have held the position since 2001, managing an 8th Generation Drillship. Previously, they worked as a Chiefmate at Transocean from 2001 to 2011. Richard is a USCG Master of Steam or Motor Vessels and is certified as an Unlimited Dynamic Positioning Operator by the Nautical Institute. They are pursuing an AAS in Nautical Science at L E Fletcher Technical Community College.
