Mike Shilton has extensive work experience in the field of landscape architecture and product management. Mike began their career at Birmingham City Council as a Project Development Officer in 1985. In 1987, they joined Wolverhampton MBC as a Principal Landscape Architect. In 1997, they became the Director, Group Landscape Architect at The Key Computer Company Ltd, where they helped landscape design professionals improve their design processes through 2D and 3D techniques. In 2012, Mike joined Keysoft Solutions as a Product Director, focusing on helping engineers and landscape professionals design safer and healthier spaces. In 2015, they became the Chair of Landscape Institute Digital Practice Group. Mike also has experience as the Director of Product Management at Transoft Solutions Inc. at two separate periods, starting in 1998 and again in 2015. Mike is a member of the Landscape Institute BIM Working Group and a Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
Mike Shilton attended Loughborough University from 1982 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Ecology. Mike then went on to attend Birmingham Polytechnic from 1986 to 1989, where they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture.
