John Devitt

Chief Executive at Transparency International

John Devitt has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. John served as the Chief Executive for Transparency International Ireland from 2004 onwards, where they were involved in directing, researching, and editing various programs. John also advised the Irish Government on the Protected Disclosure Act and worked as a trainer on anti-corruption and national integrity systems. In addition, they worked on developing whistleblower policies and investigation protocols. John also had a role as a Research Associate at the School of Business, Trinity College Dublin from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they worked as a Trade Representative at the Consulate General of Ireland from 2002 to 2003, and as an Assistant Press and Public Affairs Officer at the British Embassy Dublin from 2000 to 2001.

John Devitt completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in European Studies at the University of Limerick from 1992 to 1996. From 1999 to 2001, they obtained a diploma in Public Relations from the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. Lastly, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Ethics from 2010 to 2012 at jobs in Ireland.
