John Sutherland

John Sutherland is a Senior Environmental Planner at Transpower New Zealand, where they have worked since 2017. With expertise in resource management and environmental consulting, John leads project teams and manages resource consent applications. They are also involved in the New Zealand Planning Institute as Secretary for the Canterbury/Westland Emerging Planners Committee and Chair of the 2023 Emerging Planners Congress Committee. John holds a Master of Resource and Environmental Planning from Massey University and a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University of Wellington.
