Tom Barrett

Tom Barrett is currently the Vice President at TransRe, a position they began in 2024. Previously, they served as Vice President - US Treaty Casualty at Everest Reinsurance Company from 2022 to 2024 and held several underwriting roles, including Director - Treaty Casualty and Underwriting Director - Environmental. Tom contributed to significant growth in the Environmental book of business, overseeing notable increases from 2012 to 2014. Tom began their career as a Senior Underwriter at Crum & Forster and Markel Corporation, where they honed their skills in risk analysis and broker management. Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Seton Hall University in 2005 and has continued professional development through AICPCU courses.
