TRAPIL

Société des Transports Pétroliers par Pipelines (Trapil) was created by the French government in 1950 to build and operate a pipeline and auxiliary installations to transport refined petroleum products between the Basse-Seine and Paris regions. As a link in the oil supply chain in France, Trapil ensure the supply of large french cities as well as main airports. Trapil operates three multi-product pipelines in France : the Le Havre-Paris pipeline (LHP), which it owns, the Mediterranean Rhone pipeline (PMR) and the NATO pipelines in France (ODC). Together, they represent a total of 35 millions tons of refined products transported between refineries, port terminals and depots close to large cities, supplying mainly car fuel, jet fuel and domestic fuels. More than half of the french consumption is conveyed through its networks representing : - 4,700 kilometers of main lines, - 850,000 cubic meters of tank farms, - 160 pumping and delivery facilities. With more than 65 years of network operation, supported by its dedicated technical department, Trapil proposes a broad array of expertise and services to its clients in a variety of fields related to pipeline operation : engineering and construction, integrity and inspection, quality and measuring, consulting and audits.
