James Whiting

James Whiting is the Chief Executive of Doughty Street Chambers, a role they have held since 2022. With over 25 years of leadership in international charities focused on childcare, environmental issues, and malaria reduction, they previously served as CEO of Malaria No More UK and Managing Director at Friends of the Earth. Before these roles, James began their career as a solicitor and held positions that included Deputy Executive Director at Hope and Homes for Children. Additionally, James is Co-Chair of the Legal Practice Managers Association and serves on the boards of Travalyst and the Public Law Project, as well as being a member of the General Management Committee of the Bar Council.
