Chris Storey

Technology Director at Travelopia

Chris Storey has extensive work experience in various managerial roles within the technology and program management field.

Starting in 2005, Chris worked at Hotels.com as an Associate in Programme Management, where they managed the rollout of a European platform across multiple sites. Chris then joined Colt Technology Services in 2007 as a Senior Associate in Programme Management, where they oversaw the delivery of a multimillion-pound systems project.

In 2009, Chris joined O2 (Telefónica UK) as a Manager in Programme Management. Chris played a key role in the successful launch of the O2 Home Phone product and later became the overall delivery lead for all the development projects completed by Sapient for O2.

In 2011, Chris moved to Sainsbury's as a Programme Manager in Digital & Technology Change. Chris was responsible for delivering various projects and programmes, including the Labour Management Programme, which involved replacing Sainsbury's existing labour management systems.

Chris then joined Travelopia in 2015 as a Programme Manager in the PMO team. Chris led several programmes, including the separation of Crystal Ski brand from Travelopia and the IT Programme to achieve separation from TUI.

In 2017, Chris took on the role of Head of IT Delivery for Travelopia Marine Brands, where they were responsible for technology strategy, delivery, and support of web, cloud, and hosted systems for marine businesses.

In October 2020, Chris was promoted to the role of Technology Director at Travelopia, where they continue to lead technology strategy and oversee the development and support of systems for the company's various brands.

Chris Storey obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from Durham University in 2005. Prior to that, they attended Marciourt Catholic High School from 1995 to 2002. In terms of certifications, Chris obtained the ITIL Foundation certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in 2016, the AgilePGM (Agile Programme Management) certification from APMG-International in 2015, the MSP Advanced Practitioner certification from APMG International in 2012, and the Prince2 Practitioner certification in 2007.
