Alex Thomson

Alex Thomson is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in dispute resolution and commercial law. Currently serving as a Senior Knowledge Lawyer at Travers Smith since July 2017, Alex has previously worked at Herbert Smith Freehills, contributing as an Associate and Solicitor Advocate in high-profile commercial disputes and banking/finance litigation from February 2013 to July 2017. Alex's expertise encompasses shareholder and partnership disputes, derivatives mis-selling claims, professional negligence, and commercial fraud, along with experience in both oral and written advocacy during training. Additionally, a secondment at British American Tobacco provided insights into compliance and company law. Alex holds an Accelerated LPC and a GDL from BPP Law School, in addition to a Master of Arts in History from The University of Edinburgh.
