Ellen Justis

Ellen Justis currently serves as a Research Scientist 2 in Process Engineering at Travertine, focusing on the development of direct air capture technologies and the investigation of mineral precipitation kinetics. Prior experience includes roles as an Engineering Technician in Electrochemistry, where in-depth analyses of electrolyzer performance were conducted, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at California State University, Long Beach, conducting research on silicate and carbonate weathering pathways. Additionally, Ellen has held positions with the U.S. Geological Survey as a Geologist and the U.S. Forest Service as a Geology Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Geology, a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Iowa State University, and ongoing studies toward a Master's degree in Geochemistry at California State University, Long Beach.
