Tate Markey

Tate Markey is currently serving as the Deputy Chief Fire Marshal at the Travis County Fire Marshal's Office, where they focus on fire code inspections, plans review, and fire investigations. They have also held the position of Fire Inspector at The University of Texas at Austin Fire Marshal's Office since 2010. Previously, Tate held various roles in fire safety and enforcement, including Assistant Fire Marshal in the City of Dickinson and Fire Marshal in the City of Tomball. Tate earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Law Enforcement from Sam Houston State University, and completed training at the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Police Academy.
