Abby Koch has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Abby is currently working at Trayt.Health as the Director of Population Health & Analytics, where their role involves translating research, insights, and data into applicable models and methods for mental health access programs at various levels. In their previous role as a Senior Research Specialist at the University of Illinois Chicago, Abby was a senior epidemiologist and biostatistician contributing to research projects on maternal mortality and morbidity, women's mental health, and representation in clinical trials. Abby served as a principal investigator for a study on representation in federally-funded clinical trials and developed a toolkit for education and quality improvement in hospital emergency departments. Prior to that, Abby worked as a Senior Research Analyst at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, providing epidemiological support for maternal health programs and overseeing a clinical quality improvement initiative in obstetric hospitals. Abby also has experience as a Research Specialist at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they contributed to various research projects on maternal mortality and morbidity, including the deployment of a statewide maternal mortality review committee and the development of a CDC data system. Earlier in their career, Abby worked as a Marketing Analyst at Bank One and as a Project Coordinator at International Survey Research.

Abby Koch holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Colorado College. Abby went on to pursue their Master's degree in Sociology at Northwestern University, where they obtained both a Master of Arts (M.A.) and a Master of Arts - MA. Following their master's studies, Abby continued their education at the University of Illinois Chicago and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Epidemiology. In addition to their formal education, Abby also completed an Applied Data Science Program at MIT Professional Education in November 2022.
