Joshua Boyd is a Senior Archaeologist and Cultural Resources Team Lead who returned to Alpine Archaeological Consultants in 2022 after initially joining the firm in 2016 as a project archaeologist. They earned a B.A. in Anthropology from Western State College and an M.A. from The University of Wyoming. Joshua has participated in over 100 archaeological projects across the Great Plains and Rocky Mountains, specializing in cultural resource survey, testing, and data recovery, particularly for linear pipeline and transportation infrastructure projects. Their professional interests include prehistoric archaeology, lithic technology, and geoarchaeology, as well as evaluating historical properties for significance under the NRHP.
